Knowledge Base
Everything you and your team need to know about territory protection, growth leaks, and validation briefings.
Territory & Exclusivity
1. How exactly is the 50-mile exclusivity radius determined?
Exclusivity is calculated using the primary physical address of your practice. Our system maps a 50-mile radius around that point. Any competitor located within that circle is automatically disqualified from using our growth systems to ensure your market dominance.
2. What happens if two clinics in the same area apply at once?
We follow a strict “First-to-Briefing” policy. Territory is not officially locked during Step 1 (Diagnostic); it is only reserved once the Step 2 Validation Briefing is attended. The first provider to complete the briefing secures the territory.
3. Can I expand my territory later?
Yes. Multi-location practices or providers looking to dominate an entire region can request an “Extended Territory Lock.” This requires a customized strategy plan which Adam or the analyst team will review during your validation session.
The Diagnostic & Growth Leaks
4. My “Growth Leak” score is very low. Does this mean my business is failing?
Not at all. A low score simply means your **digital visibility** is leaking potential patients to competitors. It highlights technical gaps in your reputation, listings, and rankings that—once fixed—usually result in a rapid increase in new patient volume.
5. Where does the data for the Step 1 report come from?
Our engine pulls real-time data from over 70+ sources, including Google Business Profiles, major directory listings, and local search engine results pages (SERPs). It is a live snapshot of how the market sees you *right now*.
Internal Protocols & Support Mae / Carissa / Adam
6. Internal: How do we handle a “Rejected” competitor lead?
If a lead falls within a locked radius, Mae or Carissa should send the “Territory Unavailable” email template. We do not provide the name of the provider who currently holds the lock to maintain privacy, but we can place them on a waiting list.
7. Internal: What if the widget fails to load for a lead?
This is usually due to aggressive browser ad-blockers or firewall settings. Advise the lead to try the page in an “Incognito” window or disable “Brave Shields.” If the issue persists, Adam can run a manual diagnostic for them and email the PDF.
8. What is the required prep work for the Validation Briefing?
Providers should have their Step 1 Diagnostic results open. We also recommend having access to your Google Business Profile stats so our analyst can cross-reference the “Growth Leaks” with your actual traffic data.
Terms & Confirmation
9. Is there a long-term contract for territory protection?
Territory protection remains active as long as you are an active partner with Catapult. If a partnership is terminated, the territory lock is released after 30 days and becomes available to your local competitors.
10. How quickly can we start fixing the “Leaks” after the briefing?
Immediately. Once the analyst confirms market availability and you finalize your protection plan, our technical team begins the “Plug the Leaks” protocol, which typically shows initial ranking improvements within the first 14-21 days.
